Project Spotlight:

Beautiful Two Story Home in Tega Cay

This outdoor lighting project turned out beautifully! We loved working with the clients to design the perfect lighting plan for their beautiful home in quiet Tega Cay, SC. From the gorgeous, stone pillars in front to the pretty little path leading to the backyard, we were able to highlight the best features of the home create instant nighttime curb appeal.

Outdoor Lighting Objectives

During the initial design consultation, the clients’ lighting objectives were to highlight the front of their house and provide safe navigation from the front of the house to the back. The clients liked the look of traditional path lights and wanted to highlight the beautiful Japanese Maple in the front landscaping bed.

Design Plan

The following is a visualization of the finalized lighting design. We ended up installing a total of 16 low voltage outdoor lights throughout the property.

Enhancing Curb Appeal

In the front, we used a combination of uplights and wall washes to highlight the architectural features of this beautiful home and increase curb appeal at night.

The light from the uplights on either side of the stone archway as well as the path lights in the landscaping beds add the perfect amount of drama and create stunning curb appeal! We love how the texture of the stone is highlighted with the light. Beautiful!

Japanese Maple

One of the homeowners’ specific requests was to light the Japanese Maple in the landscaping bed to the right of the door. We chose to light this tree from two angles to ensure that it was lit from every perspective.

There are so many reasons to install outdoor lighting, but here you can really see how lighting facilitates safe navigation throughout the property. We love these traditional path lights! Stylistically, they work perfectly with the architecture of the home. Also, notice how the path lights add a little something extra during the day.

Client Review

“Working with Jeff at Limelight was so easy and simple! He had awesome ideas for us to make our home look amazing after dark! Our pathways, front of home, and plants look incredible when the lights come on! He worked with our budget and was extremely responsive to our thoughts and ideas. The app for turning on and off the lighting system is also so easy to use! Highly recommend them for all things lighting!”
